A NEW REVIVAL IN NORTHWEST SHORTHANDED SAILING!
Yeah, I know the skeptics out there will say that we've heard this before....
However, this time we've got a real professional taking up the lead on this project. Gary Stuntz with Clear Ahead Marine Productions, the principal organizer of Whidbey Island Race Week, as well as the inaugural shorthanded distance races in 2008 has graciously offered to take over the leadership of the NWSSS and will being taking this group to the next level with better events and greater coordination with local and regional clubs for 2009 and beyond.
General Meeting - April 15th, 7pm - CYC Clubhouse @ Shilshole
Gary is hosting a meeting for all sailors interested in Shorthanded sailing and racing in the Northwest on Wednesday, April 15th at the CYC Shilshole Clubhouse at 7pm. This meeting will help set the schedule of events, racing and educational, for 2009, as well as discuss the overall direction of the group.
Please show up and show your support for shorthanded racing, and volunteer to help with club coordination, event planning or simply commit to being on the start line for upcoming shorthanded events.
